Green Basilisk Lizard!

The Green Basilisk Lizard, or the Jesus Christ Lizard, live in Central America from Mexico to Panama. These are amazing animals, because they can run on water! Yes it's true! This is the only reptile that can actually run on water! When the mother of these lizards lays her eggs, she goes away. After the eggs hatch, the lizards are born with the ability to run on water and land, climb and swim! These animals are very smart; when they become alert that a predator is after them, they immediately jump for the water, because they know that whatever predator won't follow them into the water if they don't know how to swim. If the predator can swim, the lizard will then start swimming. These lizards are skillful swimmers as well! They can stay underground for 30 minutes!
